EEI become DS Nature
We are glad to announce the part-exchange of EEI- International Ecological Equipment, a French manufacturer of the world's only pole pruner that can be used up to 10 meters.
Unmatched rigidity and lightness = a real opportunity to work efficiently and safely from the ground.
Unrivalled durability = these same poles have been manufactured for over 35 years and are still used by their satisfied customers..
That's why today we can guarantee our poles for 30 years. Only the name is changing: EEI becomes DS Nature, but the quality and all the manufacturing expertise remain the same!

Our history
For several years now, we have had the ambition to create or take over a small business with recognized craftsmanship.
When we met Edmond Colliat in 2023, we returned from Penmarc'h to Plouray after more than 3 hours of discovery, convinced that we had finally found the gem we wanted to develop.
In 1993, Edmond Colliat founded EEI (International Ecological Equipment), a company that designs, manufactures, and sells pole pruners.
Edmond is a born salesman with customer satisfaction ingrained in his DNA and it was in this constant pursuit of excellence that he ended up creating an unmatched (unrivalled) product for anyone who wants to take care of their forest.
There are many pole pruners available on the market, but only a few of them extend beyond 6 meters. You only need to try them to understand why, nowadays, few forest owners (private individuals or professionals) perform manual pruners, even though it is necessary in the early stages of a tree's life.
We met with private and professional users of EEI poles and understood that beyond the unique heights that this pole provides access to (up to more than 10 m), it's above all the usability resulting from the exceptional combination of rigidity and lightness that makes the EEI pole suitable for manual pruner for a wider audience.
Nowadays, France alone has more than 11 billion trees that need to be pruned every three years on average. Knowing that France has 10,000 professional arborists, this represents more than 300,000 trees to be pruned per professional, nearly 1,500 per working day. Let's say it right away: this is simply unrealistic.
On the other hand, French forests are owned by more than 3 million forest owners, over a third of whom are committed under a long-term management plan and maintenance of their forests. Beyond the cost, since having a single tree mechanically pruned by a professional already costs more than purchasing an EEI pole, it also saves 1 litre of fuel and half a litre of chain oil per tree: dizzying!
What makes us different?
Based on these findings, Sarah, who is responsible for the company since Damien kept his role as a general delegate of the DFCG, a professional association, approached the Morbihan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Lorient Technopole, where she found remarkable support.
She was supported by the Pass Creation program and also trained in sustainable business management. She ultimately secured all the grants and financing needed to launch DS Nature.
Today, the development objectives are twofold
- To sell our pole pruner to:
- Forest owners
- Large infrastructure company
- Local authorities
- Industry professionals
2. Extend the telescopic pole with a range of 1m90 to 5 m and a universal tip that allows all types of high-level home maintenance work:
- Shrub pruning
- Cleaning roofs and other photovoltaic panels with a brush and water
- And all the other features that customers may request, while preserving what has made the brand so successful: the creation of long-lasting solutions to the challenges of maintaining property at height.
.
It is therefore in Plouray, a commune in a ZRR (rural revitalization zone) in Morbihan on the border of Finistère and Côtes-d'Armor that Sarah is involved in every aspect of this ambitious company. From R&D to finance, marketing and manufacturing, everything is carried with the values of the brand and its founders.
In addition, every stakeholder, from employees to business partners, customers and even the trees on which the product will be used, is valued and listened. This participative approach not only ensures better relationships, but also constant innovation and a service that is increasingly tailored to individual needs.
All of the brand's suppliers are French, except for the Japanese blades, which currently have no global competitors and enable a clean cut that encourages healing, helping to build together an efficient value chain for the benefit of French industry and responsible economic development.
More than just an entrepreneurial project, through this extraordinary company, we sincerely hope to transform it into a true human adventure that goes beyond borders.
